Essential tool for giving accurate grid references

Simply position on any map with a scale of 1:50 000 (2cm to 1km) or 1:25 000 (4cm to 1km) (including Ordnance Survey and Harvey maps) and use the handy grid to accurately plot a grid reference.
The accuracy of GPS is wasted if you cannot relate it to your maps.

You may think that you can accurately take a map reading by eye, but trust us, you will usually be out. We have found that the eye is led astray by contours and other markings on the map, making your reading out by up to 50 meters or more on a 1:50,000 map. Eliminate guess work and speed up the process at the same time.

WARNING: Do not go walking with only a GPS for guidance, and no map. Bad weather conditions or GPS failure can leave you in the middle of nowhere. Always carry a map, compass, mobile phone, torch (and where-wolf card) and know how to use them. Be prepared.

Our grid reference finder cards are used by the armed forces, The Scouts, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme, Mountain Rescue teams and similar organisations all round the world.
